BIO
Monastery is a female-fronted four-piece prog metal band from Coventry, UK. The band is formed by Liv Gardner on guitar and vocals, Josh Sellis on lead guitar, Kyle Smith on drums, and Lewis Guest on bass.
Monastery's sound blends elements of doom, progressive metal, thrash, hardcore, blues and heavy metal. As a band, they prefer not to pigeon-hole themselves into one genre, but instead weave different styles into their musics.

Monastery's debut EP, Rapture, was released in September 2022.

On August 21st, Monastery won the Rock & Metal Godiva Calling Competition after entering for the first time. As a result, performed on the main stage at Coventry's Godiva Festival on September 2nd 2022.
